CNG Station at Sonepat operational |
The CNG Station of GAIL Gas Limited at Sonepat has commenced its commercial operations and sale of CNG to public started on 1st September, 2010. This station has 5 dispensers, four for light vehicles and one for heavy vehicle, with a provision to add one more compressor and three dispensers in future depending upon the requirement. This green field mother station is connected to GAIL’s pipeline system and has a capacity to refill eight light vehicles and one heavy vehicle at a time. At present, the CNG production capacity of station is 22,000 kg per day which can refuel about 1400 light vehicles and 125 heavy vehicles in a day. This capacity can further be doubled by installing additional compressor and dispensers in future.
